Charlie B Wrote:Lets stay with unpatched jobs. There are thousands of patched cars and locomotives out there. Lets keep it to the last year (2009 - 2010) too. Lets not get into museum stuff either. It will be interesting to see what still survives.

Seen today in Houston, March 26, 2011. It meets the requirements of the thread as advertised, but not 2009-2010. It's 2011! Is that okay? Or do we need a new thread for 2011? Goldth

The last entry here over a year ago. I caught a Conrail today. Getting few and far between.

Wayne, just before NS took over Conrail in our area we were short of gondolas for our customer to load. When the local delivered there was one of these MW gons, including friction bearings, in the delivery. I called him because It was against AAR rules to interchange this car. He told me to load it. It was only going to another mill 20 miles away, so that was what we did.

Taken 11/21/2012. I guess you could say it's a patch job, but the patch is a fallen flag, too!

I haven't run a trace on this car but it was running around till 2007 IIRC. It's an original CGW which CNW bought in the mid 60's.

I spotted a few Southern Railway boxcars lately, though I haven't been able to stop for pictures.
