Thank you for the nice comments.
Got the Pikestuff kits. Pikestuff wall elements and Scotch Tape / Tesafilm are great toys for me This is about what I intend to do.

Ground has been cleaned and covered with 2mm / 0.08" blue foam and all raw boxes assembled. Two silos from the Cornerstone bakery will be reused.

Damn - I have a doctor's appointment, or I'd have been there! Looks really good Reinhard - big advantage is that you can ship absolutely anything in and out. in any kind of wagon, and the rivert counters can't say it is wrong! Have a virtual pint on me

I just realized you had already mentioned that, sorry
They're a good size, the walthers plastic pellet silos kit are too big. Maybe I can buy the bakery kit, keep the silos and resell the building..

Here's Fisher Flouring Mills (now Primo) on LAJ's Lower Alley Lead. There's 7 silos there. They used to receive flour, sugar & starch in covered hoppers & airslides plus bagged flour in boxcars. The building has 5 doors & the silos have 2 spots. They shipped 1-2 loaded boxcars per week. The address is 4921 Gifford Ave 90058 is you want to see it in Bing or Google aerials.

lajry Wrote:ReinhardThat might have changed. Streetview shows a plain "shoe box" only without silos. Google finds for Priomo in Vernon a new address at 3301Fruitland Avenue Vernon. CA 90058-2723. At that address is also a plain building without silos only. Looks like they do it without silos inside the usual buildings.
