That said, this is my customized Chicago & North Western Atlas GP40, dating to the first run in 1996. Picked up the unnumbered model a few years ago at a hobby shop in Defiance, Ohio, that's since closed. Last spring I sent it, along with some Sunrise Enterprises detail parts that I'd been hoarding, to my friend Dale DeVene Jr. for work. He added a road number, the detail parks, and some paint and weathering and sent it back home to me a few days ago. I photographed it (with my phone!) on Model Railroader's "Red Oak" N scale project layout from a few years back.
