Lehigh Valley Decals
#1
I am in need of decals for Lehigh Valley locomotives that have the white flag. Everything I have come up with has red flags which were not on their red units.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?  I ordered a set for LV cabooses that does have white flags but I have to wait to see if they are the right size

Charlie, I use CMR Products. They are very easy decals to apply. Here is the link directly to the page that I think you are talking about with the white flags. https://www.cmrproducts.com/Lehigh-Valle...p367793605

Charlie,

K4 decals has a LV caboose sheet with the white flag, but it is smaller than the red flag on the sheet.  https://www.k4decals.com

Thanks Bruce. I bought that sheet to see if it would work but it won't so now I will have some decals for some of my undecorated cabooses.
Microscale actually made the set I need but no one has any so I will print my own flag decals I will have to use white decal paper but I can add these to a white sheet I am using for number boards for several locomotives. I hate doing the individual numbers for these, it's bad enough when you have just one decal to apply that small.

Thanks Matt.

I checked those out but the switchers used a much smaller flag.

Wow! You appear to have found a giant black hole in the LVRR universe. I thought for sure that the Microscale decal set for the last LVRR paint scheme would have those, but as you pointed out, only the red flags are on the sheet. I have a decal sheet for the GP38's and U23b's, but no flags on that one. I'm going to say that the white flag was C628 specific or caboose specific. Wondering if they made an O-scale sheet for the caboose decals that you could use for the HO locos? My C628 already had the correct paint scheme courtesy of Stewart Hobbies.

Todd, at one time microscale made the white flag ones but they are no longer available and no one has offered them as NOS. I got the set for cabooses but they are too small.  I will have to make my own. All I need to do is print them. Matching the red is the hard part but I will cut them as close as I can

It's good you are back.

Microscale had some LV sets with white flags a while back, but I’m not sure if they’re still in print. You might want to check Highball Graphics too—they sometimes carry more accurate LV stuff.
