Greetings, gang.
31 and breezy with a brief snow shower underway. With a high today in the low 40s and sunshine later on the snow won't last long.
Yesterday was pleasant. Had a very nice visit with my daughter. She took home 3 small tv's that I no longer have a use for. Also figured out a way to stain the floors at the bottom of the stairs without having to do it in two sections. Need to sand the floors first so I'll work on that when the weather warms up more so I don't have sawdust getting sucked into the cold air return, which is also right at the bottom of the stairs. Nothing major planned for today.
All stay safe.

Greetings, gang.
33 with winds nearly the same. Had gusts overnight near 50 mph. The wind is supposed to die down later today with a high in the low 40s.
Yesterday was quiet. Swam a half mile at the gym and pretty much goofed off the rest of the day. This morning will find me wending my way to the gym again for a workout. This afternoon and evening I'll be watching as some nieces perform in a dance competition. Gotta love live streaming.
The other day I got a letter in the mail from the local gas company which indicated that people will be in the neighborhood soon installing new remote monitoring of the gas meter. The letter arrived around 1:30. At 3:00 I saw the gas company working on my meter. Talk about short notice!
Had a weird dream last night. I was at work and discovered that all employees were required to wear white shirts and ties. Talk about a throw back to the 1940s and 50s.
Gas jumped to #3.49 here, up from $3.25 on Wednesday.
All stay safe.

Almost all the snow had disappeared by yesterday, except some of the compacted pikes from plowing. This morning we went to an hour's lecture. There was a little snow coming down when we went over. When we came out, the car was covered an an inch or so. After I brushed it off (good packing snow) I had to go around again and redo it. I think it's mostly paused now.
The lectures (turning points in History) were Women Voting and Motion pictures.

Good evening folks
Much of this weekend is going to be based around my upcoming three-time postponed hernia surgery on Monday. We will need to do some running around since I will be unable to do so for a few days next week. My wife wants to visit the Farmers’ Market on Saturday, and we need to drop off a package at UPS. Sunday will hopefully be an easy and restful day.
I probably will not get done organizing my 40 ft steel boxcars before the surgery. I am hoping to get some of it done, preferably the part that involves lifting and moving some storage bins. I have plenty of Accurail rolling stock kits to build and renumber. I have some structures I could also assemble. Running some trains would be nice.
I hope everybody has a good evening.

Happy Pi Day, gang.
31 now going to the upper 40s later. Then it all goes south tonight and tomorrow with anywhere from 1-3 inches of snow and 50 mph winds. The low Monday morning is supposed to be around 3. Then bounce back to near 70 by mid week. Spring in the midwest.
Yesterday was pretty routine with a trip to the gym in the morning and that's about it until last night when my nieces were in a dance competition in Denver. Everything was going well until one of them was to perform a solo. The live stream died! Same thing happened at a different venue last month. Grrrr! More dancing this evening.
This morning I need to head to Walmart and Menards before the big storm hit. Then laundry and goofing off until dance time this evening.
All stay safe.

Hello Blue
Cloudy, going to 60, then storms and wind coming back overnight.
I spent the evening at our club meet. Gas was $3.49 most places.
My wife's birthday is this week so the kids are coming today to celebrate.
Nothing special on this week's calendar.

Spring outdoor work has started. Got my trimmer with the blade out to cut down all of my ornamental grass clumps, rounded up the refuse, turned over my compost bin and dumped the grass in there. One of these days I have to get the mower into the garage to do the annual maintenance - before you know it I'll be doing the weekly cuttings. Started out in the low 40's on the trip to church at 7 AM, but it's gotten much windier and feels like the temp has dropped, but it's just the wind chill.
Got a tire pressure warning on the driver side rear on the way to church. Can't see that I picked up a nail, but I'll be investigating further in a few.
Took a hike with the dog. Made a jig to cut down some pieces of sprue for the Acme internal posts. Hope to work on the ceiling of same this evening.

Usaly tire pressure drops a little with cold temps but just one tire sounds like a nail, a crack or valve stem issue.
Marx 1095 locos showed up today waiting on matching passenger cars.

Greetings, gang.
25 at the moment and the NWS plans to double that with a guessed at high near 50. They're also saying it should be near 80 here on Saturday.
It's been very quiet around here this week. The only project is to stain some flooring that looked rather ratty. I was thinking about sanding it down first but decided to try an experiment first. I applied some stain to the floor and then immediately wiped it off rather than allow it to remain. The new color came close enough to the existing floor that all I need to do now is to apply the varnish. I'll work on that today. This evening I'll be going to dinner with some friends. Then tomorrow I head to Omaha to visit with family. My youngest grandson and his wife are stopping to visit my daughter who is going to school there. I'll be back on Friday.
Gas holding at $3.49.
All stay safe.

36 now headed for the mid 60s. 70 tomorrow and 80 on Saturday.
Pleasant evening with friends last night followed by a trip to Menards where all needed items were found. This morning I'll be loading up the car and heading to Omaha. I'll be back tomorrow.
