Tom, i saw your post, thank-you for the offering, i replied to it in that thread
Doc, if your ever in the area of Modesto, would you mind taking some railfan pictures? Im interested in getting picstures of the locos mainly, but pictures of the Industrial District and the M&ET tracks would be useful to me as well. I need to make a trip up there myself one of these days, but i have to set aside a day for the trip, as im 6+ hours away lol

Check out this amazing "birds eye" eview of the M&ET enginehouse and 100% of the railroad's industrial park.
Click :bird's eye to take a closer more detailed look, you can see views from all four directions too. http://maps.live.com/?v=2&encType=1&sp= ... ssover____ Sit back and check it out. I spent about an hour looking over all the interesting trackwork! There's plenty to see! -Miles

Yeah, MS Live Maps ROCKS doesn't it? THe birds eye view blows Google Earth out of the water as far as I am concerned. Spent many hours goofing off on that site. VERY recent photos too considering it wasn't long ago that the 2 new SW1500's were relettered M&ET.

I MUST warn you though that MS Live Maps is HIGHLY Addictive. I have spent HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS tracing railroad right of ways all over the US and Canada. In fact, when I get a call for a quote at work, I go there first to get a feel for the operation. Then, I end up straying for MILES and MILES and MILES from where I was researching. So proceed to that sight with caution, you will lose track of time.

If I have a call to go there or just want to take a short trip somewhere I'll see what I can do. Doc

They responded by mu-ing two triple header sets of 70-tonners to move it, with #600 on the point. That is going to be something to see on your modules! 8-)
