Thats some fantatic weathering on those cars. I'd love to see more of your layout plus some ideas on how you achieved the weathering effects.

I second that! Weathering is absolutely gorgeous! If you wouldn't mind sharing your secrets, I'd love to learn!
Your layout has a very "real" look and feel to it... with the weathering of your rolling stock as well as the backdrop and scenic details, it looks like a picture that was taken roadside in the "real world" versus a model railroad layout... awesome job... I can only hope my work comes out half as good!

Will post more pics later this week hopefully.
I've included a quick tutorial on weathering on my website. I could reproduced it here (cut & paste) if you wish.
Thanks again

Excellent pics! Thanks!!! I think we'd really appreciate it if you'd cut and paste your weathering tips. Beautiful effects! That last picture of the three white box cars looked so much like a prototype shot i had to look twice.

I followed the link to both of your web pages. Nice work indeed. If you could share how you get the peeling paint rusted effect that would be super cool. I assume you use a cosmetic brush to dab it on. Is it a combination of paints and weathering powders? It is a really nice effect.
