Somebody please explain to me why no manufacturer makes a NS Dash-9 in Nscale? An engine that looks that good in black and white (and a little yellow on the handrails) deserves to be made by Kato or Atlas or Athearn.

Kato is making an N scale Dash 9, just not in NS. i just saw them on their website. Todd

Probably because NS chose the 9-40 over the more popular and more road purchased 9-44's.

You probably wouldn't have had enough time for a complete re-paint, but you coulda made Kiski "patch" jobs outa them.

I knew a fellow that never got a picture of a certain locomotive lettered for its previous road. It was still in their colors so he had a matching banner printed with their lettering and scotts taped it in place, took his pictures, and was happy ever after.

your right charlie they still dont care they never called or anything to see if it was ok to park there . im not sure how long they were there, but i left later in the afternoon and they were still there. but they were as you can see parked off the bridge, not on it, like they do occassionally.

I guess I'll just have to get an undecorated Dash-9 from Kato and paint it myself. Still, those Dash-9's look great in black.
