Somebody please explain to me why no manufacturer makes a NS Dash-9 in Nscale? An engine that looks that good in black and white (and a little yellow on the handrails) deserves to be made by Kato or Atlas or Athearn.

Kato is making an N scale Dash 9, just not in NS. i just saw them on their website.

Todd
Probably because NS chose the 9-40 over the more popular and more road purchased 9-44's.

Caught a trio of NS locomotives sitting out on the approach to Kiski Junction Railroad Bridge., today around 11;30. they were all tied together, shutdown with no one around them.

Darned good thing it wasn't passenger train day...I see they still don't care who's property they use.

You probably wouldn't have had enough time for a complete re-paint, but you coulda made Kiski "patch" jobs outa them. 357 Misngth

I knew a fellow that never got a picture of a certain locomotive lettered for its previous road. It was still in their colors so he had a matching banner printed with their lettering and scotts taped it in place, took his pictures, and was happy ever after.

I went to my Happy Place, but it was closed for renovations.
your right charlie they still dont care they never called or anything to see if it was ok to park there . im not sure how long they were there, but i left later in the afternoon and they were still there. but they were as you can see parked off the bridge, not on it, like they do occassionally.

Todd
I guess I'll just have to get an undecorated Dash-9 from Kato and paint it myself. Still, those Dash-9's look great in black.
