So, You think you just bought a lathe.....noooo, you bought a vast panorama of new "learning curves"! hock:
The emotion I'm feeling, it's, it's, yesssss, that's it, ENVY Have fun with your "new toy", and when you can, show us what you have made with it.
We always learn far more from our own mistakes, than we will ever learn from another's advice.
The greatest place to live life, is on the sharp leading edge of a learning curve. Lead me not into temptation.....I can find it myself!

Greenhorn? Not for long!
I may not be a rivet counter, but I sure do like rivets!

My first attempts:
An old rather coarse Märklin Tin-Plate wheel. On right the original apperance, on the left the turned wheel From Tin Plate to similar RP25/88 The flange depth was reduced from 1.4mm to 0.6mm The tire width was reduced from 3.2mm to 2.2mm Also i turned on the back of the wheel the rear of the spokes. Thus reducing the depth of the spokes and creating a finer appereance. The counter balance weight looks now right when it is now outside the wheel rim. Lutz
