I got a major step done today. I cut the highway out of one continuous piece of roofing felt. I then did the piece from the bridge to the crossing. Now for striping and blending in.

I have started a Blair Line Sunset Motel. I have stuccoed the office and built the room bases and walls. This is a very well designed kit and goes together extremely well. I will be calling it the Yucca Motel and have scanned and redone the sign on photo paper and sprayed with Testors Decal coating to protect the ink. The yucca on top of the sign will have a long stem coming out the top. I will be using Model Tech Studios roof sign maker to make the Yucca sign that goes on top of the bungalows.

Sorry to hear about the job....
I went through that last year, and spent the better part of it lookin'...Fortunately, my previous employer "saw the light" and brought me back in.
Keep plugging away...No other way out...

Here is what I have been working on (slowly).
It is a Blair Line Sunset Motel.
I finally have it on its base that was cut to fit the highway north of the ghost town. I need to place it and do grass and earth around it and blend into the highway yet.
Any way here she is.

Good job on that baby...!!!
That motel reminds me of many that were to be found on the old Route 66 as it wound its way westward. I drove on that road many times in the days where long stretches of it were still 2 lane only...and Holiday Inns were few and far between.
Aaahhh....the good ol' days....
