I'm sure that by now those Big Blue Forum members who are using Photobucket to store, manage and post pictures are aware that the Photobucket site has undergone some major changes over the past 3 or 4 months. What you might not be aware of is that those changes/updates have now opened up your complete Photobucket archives when you post pictures.
For example, if you post a picture/thumbnail of a loco from your Photobucket Loco album in a post here, or anywhere else on the net, then whoever is viewing that picture can click on it and by doing so they get returned not only to that particular Photobucket Loco album but by being directed into that album they can, from that album access any other album in your Photobucket account........even those you might not want accessed by me or other members of this forum.
So be aware folks.

That sounds crazy.
I did created for test purposes a new directory "p01". That directory is defined as private and is shown with a closed lock. One photo is added.
So, nobody of you should see this photo
Do you see it?

Far as hacking backward all I get in your P01 directory is:

If your photos have the click-back option enabled then yes a viewer can click on it and from there see other photos in that album and quite possibly explore other albums in your account. If however the album is marked as private then only that photo will be shown. If you don't want viewers to click on the photo and gain access the your album/account turn the click-back option off.
When I post a photo it has no click-back option even though it's in a 'public' album.

May be I need to read some tutorials of Photobucket but a "locked private" folder should not be accessed by strangers (not logged into my account) even they know the full qualified address of a photo (that is what I posted) in that folder.
Yes, that's me some years ago. Scuba diving is my other hobby. Next flight to Marsa Alam (south Egypt at the red sea) is booked for 9/19 if the kind people of Egypt find a way to settle their dispute without ruining the tourist industry even more.

I turn it off at Photobucket. Go to the top right of your Photobucket page. Click the down arrow next to your profile photo. Click
User Settings. The Personal Information page comes up. Click
Albums. Scroll down to
Easy Linking mode. Go down to the
Link Back Option. If it's checked then uncheck it. Scroll down and click
Save.
