Favorite HO Models

How this for an opening post in the HO Forum?

Post some photos and information about some of your favorite HO models.

I will start with my custom painted and decaled Atlas U23B locos. By the time these locos were built in the real world the Lehigh & New England no longer existed having gone out of business in 1962. In the world of the Ridley Keystone & Mountain it still does. In the mid to late sixties the L&NE needed newer locos. Since the L&NE (in the real world) was an all ALCO diesel road I figured that once ALCO was gone they would continue with ALCO’s defacto successor; General Electric. The paint scheme is based on the scheme the L&NE used on their real diesel locos.

I've always liked that paint scheme, Tom, and those U-boats look great wearing it.
I'm working on a few L&NE cars for my layout right now, including a hopper and covered hopper in the shops right now, with another hopper and at least one boxcar to come soon.

Everything that I've built and painted are my favorites.
But I guess my true favorite models, are my SD70M and C44-9W in New Haven paint.

The SD70 is painted and decaled like an NH GP-9.
The C44-9W is painted like NH's U25B.
It only made sense. Paint the EMD, like an NH EMD, and the GE.....Well..You get the point

Very nice stuff everyone! Most of my locomotives are inexpensive Athearns but I do treasure this smooth runnin' PK2 SD9 given to me as a gift.

As long as this started with Alcos, my first pic is my favorite Alco. followed by two of my favorite steam locos, and ending with my favorite diesel.
Long Island Railroad, Alco C420 in 1964 World's Fair paint scheme     The C&O Allegheny, and the shipyard outside frame 2-4-4-2         and the Cindys Harbor BL20-2's

Just a simple old SD40-2 that I've detailed and grown quite fond of, even if it doesn't really work for the layout...

Favorite? thats a tough one...

My E60MA is definitely near the top of that list. I can't explain why, I suppose it must be the childhood memory of seeing one just like this one. they are gargantuan.

My U34CH has also been with me a long time and has always been a reliable locomotive.
