Old Picture of the day

Here is a link to a blog that is a treasure chest of old photos that help with modeling details.

Today's picture shows an old grocery store front, and at the top of the windows are little pictures of the "Old Dutch Cleanser" lady.
I remember Old Dutch Cleanser, but had forgot about the paintings on the glass store fronts. I seem to recall the Morton Salt girl painted like these too.
It's little details like this that I have forgotten that really dress up a layout. You can download the picture and enlarge it a little more to see the details.
