Just got this in my e-mail.....

A teenager obviously far down on the Darwin chain... decides to play chicken with an Amtrak train.. She actually forces the Engineer to put it into "Emergency"... Unreal......

Something seems fishy about that video. I'm not so sure the "cameraman" had no connection to the girls and the older woman. The older woman didn't even seem that shocked, and after the incident, they all seemed to just stand there in front of the camera.

I caught that - but in a different way - i would have "said something" to the girl that ran in front of the train...
You may be right - it may have been staged on purpose, for internet publication. Sad, if it was that.

It might of ben staged. But the older women could of just been "Why did the train stop?". She does keep looking down the line. The other women might just be"What happened?" kinda of thing.
BUT!..Why didn't we see any of the crew coming up and asking questions?
If it was staged, and the cameraman, did have the girls run in front of the train, just to get it to stop, then they all are stupid. The outcome could of been worse. Luclky, it only delayed the train a couple of minutes.

my understanding is the girl in the orange shirt was the one that ran in front of the train while the girl in the blue shirt watched. They later came over and stood next to the older woman, but the older woman either didn't notice what the girls had done or didn't care - because I didn't see her scolding them at all. At the beginning of the video, the cameraman is talkng to someone...

I'm surprised the girls didn't run away once the train stopped. I expected to see a member of the crew walk down to talk to them. What a little idiot!

when the ca pans right - you see the other guy the cameraman was talking to. presumedly his railfan buddy. At the beginning he sayd something to the effect: "I have to be stand here to get my camera setting"
then a womans voice answers or comments something short, then more talking then a scanner voice.
So it could have been staged, I'm catching more & More as i watch it.. If the girle didn't realize 9orcare) what she did, they might walk to the camerman and see if he got the stunt
If they were worried about the train or riasing the Engineer's BP and adrenalin, then you're right - they might have ran....

A couple times you can see the video cuts out, like they stopped recording then resumed, or edited some of the video out. I want to see what we're missing in those parts.
And at one time, you can see the girl in the orange shirt clearly has a smile on her face like she either likes what she did, or thinks its funny

Here goes another kid beeing STUPID!, cought this blurb on the morning news. A teen in Nashville played chicken with a CSX train, His buddy won he lost was clipped by the corner of the engine. He just got out of the hospitial after severe head injuries and is home recooping.
Now for the stupid part!The parents are blaming the railroad and CSX!

Of course the parents are blaming CSX.....How else can they sue CSX if they didn't..?? I mean, if the tracks/train hadn't been there, her STOOOOOPID kid could not have jumped in front of it..... 
Did the news say how many lawyers are involved in the case..??
