FIRST, THANKS SO MUCH GUYS! Big Grin , i am really into this now, and your very kind comments really tells me i am going in the right direction, AGAIN, THANK YOU!!!

Ralph Wrote:Wow indeed! I'm really impressed with the scenic elements Dean. All of the bushes and grasses and trees really fill in those train scenes. The small town crossing pics remind me of so many places I've seen in the Midwest. Really captures the flavor.

Ralph slap wins the prize! Thumbsup ...well, there really is no prize Misngth , but if there was, Ralph would win it Wink . Ralph, you said EXACTLY what i was hoping for, i really am trying hard to make the whole layout really portray what its like RRing here in my neck of the woods.

**Well, i have pretty much finished up this town, now its back to farmland, corn, wheat, beans etc. , not real fun to make but thats just how it is in many parts up here till the next small town or city. I ended up putting over 20 hours in this small town, below are some pics showing most of it from a distance, not great shots by anymeans, but i hope it will give you folks a scope of how it turned out.

FIRST PIC- is on one end of the street looking down to the other end....

AND here we are at the other end of town looking down to where we just was....

Yeah, that may be so Steven, but at least you have a life Wink , cripes, i have countless hours into this, and its not just in building it, TONS of reading trying to figure things out, TONS of time sorting through stuff looking for the best of the best possible things i can find to help create it, TONS of trial and err time in figuring out just how to patch engines, make signs, and edit objects, then turning them back into .CDP files and hoping i done everything right so they work  , time...time...time Confusedhock:

**A couple things...
1- THANKS ED! , for putting one of my Trainz pics in the Emag Worship , i was TOTALLY SHOCKED to see that when i was reading it.

2- Oh man, all my plans for this week fell short  , been so sick with a cold(no not H1N1, just a bad cold) , i had planned on detailing my NEW HO UP H10-44 and taking some shots of it to put in this weeks WPF thread, just didnt feel good enough to get to it.

3- I didnt even work on my Trainz game this week, just to darn sick and felt to run down every night after work. I did however work on my Trainz RVS layout some today though Thumbsup , i done about a two mile stretch of farm land. the first pic below shows a UP GP50 and a Patched SP GP60 a few miles past the town and coming up on some farmland. the rest of the picks show UP "in the corn" Thumbsup

Ugh, don't get me started on that. What I wouldn't trade my family life for... Wallbang Wallbang Wallbang

I am liking your progress on the RVS there. I can't even remember the last time I actually worked on the surveyor mode. Heck, its been a good week or so since I even opened up the game to run some trains with my 4yr old

Thanks Steven! , hey, i'll give you the tip of the century, at the Trainz forum in the TS2009 section, look for Janvkis thread called "Native mode vegitation" , download EVERY LINK he has posted in that thread, its ALL FREE, Jan is BAR NONE one of the BEST vegitation creators out there Thumbsup , i have been pretty much using ONLY HIS STUFF for the last month Wink . TNM also has a thread in the same section, his trees are just a touch better but sadly he uses a site thats bandwidth is so darn small you'll never get his stuff unless you can be there right after he posts it, i havent been able to get ANY of his stuff, but some day... Wink .

**Trainz has a weekly contest for screenshots, this week its Autumn pics so i made one mile of my UP route up for Autumn, probably wont win, its real "cliquey " over there Icon_lol , but i figured i would give it a shot...first pic below is the one i entered, the WSOR one i just took because i run WSOR on my route sometimes  . (at Trainz you can post pics at 100% full size, they really look much better then you folks are seeing :| )

Not much else to metion, cripes, Ma & Dad and my son and i have been sick off and on for the last three weeks, havent been to the folks for 3 weeks either, so no running trains for me, except for Trainz Thumbsup .

PLEASE, Stay healthy folks, and take care

Deano, I'll have to check out that thread. Maybe one of these days I'll get a chance to hit up that forum again.

Oh, and today I was watching a show that recorded in my dvr "Tracks Ahead" that talked about WSOR, interesting stuff.

That fall scene looks great.

I know what you mean about being sick, my 4yr old son had a fever of 100 the other night, and now he has a nasty cough

Yes, as a matter of fact, it has been that long. Has anyone heard from Deano lately? Let us know, it would be nice to be in contact again. Welcome
