Vini, Vidi, Choo-Choo,
I came, I saw, i Big Blue.
There I see all the trains of thought.
Ponder the things long after sought.
A model of what I once did see,
with smoke and sparks that passed by me.
For in my young years a train roared down upon me you see,
that I drew back up to my mother's knee.
i clung to her calf as the black monster swept by.
Yes, I was only my mother's knee high.
I never forget the image, it's burned in my mind.
I can't help the want to build a model that would take me there in kind.
Woo-woo, ding-ding.

Nice start Mark! I'll bet most of us have an early childhood memory of trains that captivated our interest. I have one similar to that expressed in your poem. i must have been four or ive with my mother on a platform waiting or a Long Island RR rain to take us to visit her brother's family. A train went by without stopping before our commuter arrived. the noise and speed scared me but thrilled me at the same time....I was hooked.

I only know what I know, and I don't understand very much of it, either.

Hey Lester perry, I think you need to have that flat car rerouted over my railroad for an inspection. The Anna lines crews would like to give it a good once over, just to make sure It's up to NMRA standards.
My other car is a locomotive, ARHS restoration crew

LOVE the stock certificate idea Mikey!!
It was fun to see the Gauge and the GERN cars roll by Les.
For my contribution I turned this $6.00 used and partly broken LHS backroom discount special...
..into this BB&G private car. Here it sits after having been dropped off at the interchange in preparation for a local fan trip. All forum members have full rights of ridership!
I used Microscale decals for the BBG designation and the car number but had trouble making custom Big Blue & Gauge decals with Testor's paper. The yellow letters weren't opaque enough to show on the car's blue body. I decided to make placards for the car sides with the railway name and the anniversary sign.
