I read two Ian Fleming novels in Playboy, back in the sixties. One was "Man With The Bolden Gun," and "Octopussy." Back then, Playboy wasn'r vulgar. The models were cute, and the photography was usually done in an artistic manner. Peter Gowland was my favorite photographer. In (much) later years we corresponded via e-amil, for a short time. Nice gentleman! And his wife had no problems with him photographing beautiful young girls in "skimpy" attire.
In fact she was his assistant on all his photo shoots. He also invented several cameras, including the Gowlandflex.
I only know what I know, and I don't understand very much of it, either.
