I never noticed, but I would bet that is what the big "S" means. Now where is your PC picture? We have been waiting for you. Don't you have any? Charlie

Charlie and Ralph, the covered hoppers with the yellow S were used by PC to deliver sand to their locomotive service shops.
Doesn't anyone have another PC or covered hopper pic? Bruce

Took a long dive off the layout on a short stub track, thats why its missing a coupler.

How about box cars PRR 88164 probably on her last journey. March, 1977 (these pictures were not old when I took them )
