The CSX AC44CW start with number 1 and go to 599, then one is numbered 601.
I don't find it strange to start with the number 1 for locomotives, but it is unusual for a big class 1 to do it.
Here is the lead unit, another AC44CW, West Pittsburgh, September 16.
