The CSX AC44CW start with number 1 and go to 599, then one is numbered 601.
I don't find it strange to start with the number 1 for locomotives, but it is unusual for a big class 1 to do it.
Here is the lead unit, another AC44CW, West Pittsburgh, September 16.

It caught my eye also. So I checked Fallen Flags site and found out it looks like all of CSX's GE 4400AC series are numbered with only two or three DIGIT road numbers.

^ I fixed that for you. I had to reread that a number of times to figure out what the heck you were trying to say!

The graffiti on the gon behind #87 opnes this thread to go in direction it definitely shouldn't go.
