Dull Cote

Once I have a finished structure, can I shoot the whole thing with Dull Cote or will that mess up the windows?

DEpends on what you mean by "mess up". Yes, it will coat them and dull them, just like the rest of the structure. The "glass" comes out looking frosted. But this can be a good thing, especially if there is no interior. Sometimes a more appropriate look than the blacked out windows too.

If you'd rather not have frosted glass, dullcote the buidling before glazing, or mask the glass.

I always give my structures and rolling stock a coat of Dull Cote after painting and weathering. It does glaze the windows, which is OK, since I buff the outside face to get rid of the "shiny glass" look prior to installing them....The results are quite nice, I think...

I've grown to prefer the frosted over look myself...no need to fuss with interior detailing Thumbsup
