Short line mountain action
#1
This is a short video of J&M Short line RR. There is something wrong with the sound. When I figure it out and fix it I will re post it. As of now I am at a loss. Anyway I think you will be able to appreciate the grades this little Rail Road has to battle. This is all up hill stuff and only about 1/2 way to the top. Now try going down.

If you looked before try it againThe sound is not to this video and I give up, so turn your sound off or all the way down.

Definitely something wrong with the sound - ear-splitting heavy metal. Icon_lol

Nice vid clip, though. What is the actual grade?

I will take a guess at 7%. Not sure though. I wanted it to be limited to 2 cars so I made a 2 car train put track on a 2x4 and started the train moving. I raised the end of the 2x4 until it stalled lowered it a little, there is the grade. Take another look I re-made it

Man, I could just feel that little loco struggling to get up the grade in the last couple of scenes. Very nice video!
