I finally got around to doing a little video today.

It's been a rough two months for us here but the sun is starting to shine in our souls again so soon to be up and at em.
I started building some P2K Mather stock car kits last week and have got 12 put together and running in a week. 10 more to go. They really keep your mind occupied

Charlie, great to see you posting about your layout again! I'm also glad to hear that things are brigthening for you. Your video really conveys the length of your mainline. Some of those scenes of long passenger and freight trains look like they go off in the distance for ever!
Thanks for the look!

I did a little work on a little area I am going to call Tafftown, which will be a little bedroom community from the early 50's with a few small modern type houses. I carved the stairs and am leveling the foundations with Durabond 90.
Overall there should be room for 10 or 12 homes as well as a little neighborhood store.
I also did some more brush work, so all in all a pretty good day.
Now about 4 days drying time and I'll see what I have.

I'll say!
That's a nice idea for a tribute, too.

A great day weather wise today, I opened the doors to let the heat into the train room and didn't need to turn any heat on.
I did some more work on Tafftown and put the scene back together around the curve.

The overhead was a "luck" shot, camera on tri-pod to full length, 10 second delay on shutter, click and hold over the head and to the middle of the layout.
It only took 3 shots to hit the "target"

"Railcop" came over today and built a fire under me. There was an area that is one of the first things you see when you open the door that was my catch all for miscellanious tool, empty boxes, bottles, and what ever I didn't happen to want to put away, so we moved everything off that area and commenced building a cliff face and installing a tunnel portal. After the plaster set I did some paint work and got things looking pretty good.
I'm running out of places to put things.

Great progress!!!! Good to get to work on that "catch all" area especially if its your first view of the layout. That will be motivating!
