Ralph's 2010 Summer Box Factory Structure Challenge
#1
Well, I have no expectations of really competing in the challenge but it does motivate me to finish something I've been meaning to work on. Consider this my way of prompting myself to get to it! Smile Any way, I have two structures on my layout that were rather small to be rail served industries. One was Westlund Meats...

And...What was once known as Canton Paper Co.

My plan is to bash them together to make a larger Canton box Company. Not a complex project like so many of the current entries but I do plan to get it done soon. Smile

Not competition,....... participation, incentive, a swift kick in the seat of the pants, whatever it gets called it's a good thing when projects are started, and completed, in the company of friends.
Sounds like a good idea to me !

I like the pun!

The use of puns are supposedly a sign of above-average intelligence! Have you ever witnessed a dullard using a pun? I rest my case!

But ... I must admit to being a bit leary of the politician and his possible "social" ties! Is that "Anthony S.?" Did this guy who is now running for office, the guy who wants to make certain you know he has "Union Endorsement" ... was he ever involved in the refuse removal business in North Jersey? Ooooo! Just a little scary! :o

Ralph, every time you change something on your layout, I often wonder why you are changing something that looks great to begin with. But then your results always wind up better than it was before. I am really looking forward to this one!

PS- I am glad someone else is starting on this contest. Perhaps it will motivate me to work on mine rather than these countless side projects Icon_lol

Uhhhhh...well...actually I did take a step or two. I'm switching locations with Canton Box and my Ready Mix company (which is also going to be rebuilt). I like the way the mock ups for both businesses look in their new locations. I've deconstructed the square part of the the structure that used to be Westlund meats so i can reconfigure it to fit in the new space. No pics yet but I suppose I could shoot the mock up.

Thanks for the prompt! Smile
