Was ordering off walthers today when I found some good deals, then decided to stop by the LHS. Well as I was walking past the loco display case I see a familiar orange color, maybe an EJ&E? Sure enough it was one of the hard to find Athearn SD38's, on on sale for $50! Picked it up and cant wait to run it! Now my only decision is to run it as a EJ&E unit which I want to, or to get it painted in DMIR maroon which Id also really like to do.

Geez! If the EJ&E is a "hard-to-find" paint scheme, but you lucked out and found one ... uh ... why would you paint it DMIR? Get some other loco, one that is as common as a loon but you are not into the road to paint! Run the "hard-to-find" "Blues Brothers Home Road' unit as it is ... that's what made you notice it!
