HO Tour Car Pictures
Great pictures !! 2285_
For the outbound lading.......
If there be a text'le factory, served by the line, Sag Harbor Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company's Sail Loft, could use a shipment o' sail cloth. There be two Schooners, two sloops, ( and, at some point an additional 32' Noank Schooner ) that'll be needin' sails.

It has been "one day short of" 15 months, since 100119 left the shops at SHS&D.
I'm very happy to see that it is still in good condition. The shop foreman, already has a "bottle of the best" chilling, for the return ceremony.
http://www.the-gauge.net/magazine/HOMap.jpg shows where the car has been. Straight line distances add up to 7,535 (approx) miles ( with an added 650 for its trip back to SHS&D ) 8,185 miles ( give or take) traveled, at the end of the tour.

I should point out that the above pictures were taken at the www.hotrak.ca June set-up. We are a modular club, and many members have 2 or more modules that they bring out to set-up and share. Some (like me) have modules in progress, while others do not. Module ownership is not a requirement to participate.

The pictures above are of modules built/maintained by:

I was up on the upper Kennequogue river, this morning at about 11:30 AM, and spotted, crossing on the dual gauge Steel arch bridge, THIS : 2285_ 2285_

Oh yes it is !!!!! BBG100119 has returned to Cindys Harbor RR tracks, and is on its way to the shipyard Transshipment point to transfer a load of new sail cloth to the sail loft at SHS&D Co.
Now I have few to no excuses for not finishing the rigging of a schooner, and two sloops. 2285_ 2285_ 2285_

:hey: Let The Auction Begin !!! Cheers

I had to chase the tour car to its destination..... Heading North on the dual gauge highline

Down to sea level, South bound across the lower Kenneguogue.

Got the three truck shay pullin' 'er, temporarily lettered for Cass Scenic, for the Cass employees/volunteers tour of the seaport.

Once through the tunnel, she'll start the climb to the engine house/car repair shop for cleaning/inspection, lube, and testing.

At the top of the hill she picks up the SHS&D switcher that heads her over the high bridge.

Cindys Harbor 2621 has been waiting, clear of the engine house lead, for BBG100119's arrival, she, and her switcher head into the lead.

Across the turntable, and into the "car" stall, where most of the car work is done.

...and safe inside. Once she's been cleaned up, lubed, and inspected, she'll be ready. This has been the last leg of her tour. The next journey, The auction, will be starting soon now !! Cheers Cheers - - and then she's off to a new owner.

We're all happy to see this tour car make it safely to its origin. The next step is to find a new home for this car, and we will be doing that very shortly, so keep you eyes peeled for the start of a new auction.
