Storage Car Revival 3-14-11

The Maumee & Western pulled storage cars from the out-of-service mainline last week for interchange with Norfolk Southern and I was able to catch the crew switching the cars in Woodburn, Indiana:

That's a great little bridge to model.

Also, what kind of Geep is that with the funny boxes where the dynamic brakes should be?

The loco is a GP11. The angled cab and four exhaust stacks are a dead giveaway. The prime mover is an EMD 645. I suspect the boxes that you're referring to is the housing for the paper air filter.

Jeff's right. I believe that's a former IC geep, rebuilt by the Paducah shops.
