I'm modelling the NYA in nscale. I grew up on Long Island and was looking for a prototype to model. I'm looking for photos of the railway and its track. I's send some pictures of my repainted locos and track plan if someone can instruct me how to get pictures in these posts.

Hi and welcome! Welcome

You can post images by using a photo hosting site such as photobucket and then copying and pasting the image code from that site into the text of your post.

Welcome Welcome 2285_ Good prototype choice Thumbsup

Google- - NY&A. Searching Long Island Railroad will also help. Many of the buildings, and scenic features along the right of way probably still exist. With the population density of the area, there probably hasn't been a whole lot of " new rail " added to the existing LIRR trackage.
" I grew up on Long Island ".
So did I, Copiague. We also had a summer cottage on Noyack Bay.
We always learn far more from our own mistakes, than we will ever learn from another's advice.
The greatest place to live life, is on the sharp leading edge of a learning curve.
Lead me not into temptation.....I can find it myself!
