I just checked the Conrail Historical site(I was curious myself) CR#7523 is a GP10, and was origianlly CR#7092(GP9), which was also Penn Central, and Pennsylvania RR GP9 #7092. Looking at the roster for the GP10( a GP9 rebuild), not one New Haven GP made it to the Conrail era. The PC might of sold or scrapped all the NH GP's.

That's cool. You can tell it's really carrying some speed by the amount of dust and gook being kicked up around the wheels.

Great shot Nutbar. I had the good fortune to do a little restoration work on the 1551 that Jerry Jacobson owns. That was in 1987 when it was in Austintown, Ohio. I have a little video of some of the work, but no stills. I never saw it under steam.
