I like your assessment Matt! Thumbsup I believe the KP&W management believes that it is important for their equipment (especially locos and cabooses) to look good for business's sake. Decrepit equipment makes a poor impression and doesn't inspire confidence. Worth the investment. Smile

To be fair, not ALL patches have to look decrepid. Some are done well-
