Good Morning Blue
We have a cloudy 66 degrees this morning.
The grass needs cutting but these old bones are achy so it's not getting done today.
A nice potluck meal and chatting with granny's church class yesterday. but nothing new in the toy train world.

Thanks for the concern, it's hard to say much more than that. The high temps we've been having and no rain in most of Arizona have made things tinder dry. We frequently have dry lightning, sometimes hundreds of strikes with no rain to follow. This fire was started this way. The skies have been overcast here the past few day, first from a fire in nearby New Mexico, now it appears to be coming from this fire up in Yarnell. They have 250 people in the fire lines now, with a few hundred more due in today. We wish them all the best and safety.

I believe I've found why I'm feeling so bad lately. Many of the meds I take have a long list of side effects. Not only that, many have most of the SAME side effects and different meds can have different side effects hit at the same time. Seems the effects I'm having problems with right now are light headedness, dizziness, confusion, muscle pain, cramps, weakness, drowsiness, memory problems, trouble concentrating, aggressive and even hostile behavior. And that's not even getting into the real serious side effects. Well, it's nice to know there's nothing real serious wrong with me, just the result of a bunch of side effects hitting at once.

One thing that always gets me is those ads on TV for medications. When the ad is over, you're not really sure what they are for, but worse yet, when they list the side affects, you not sure you'd take it even if it would help you. Nope I have a list of about 42 medications that I'm suppose to ask my doctor if, "they are right for me". I'm afraid he'd throw me out of the office if I did that. 35

Some of the meds I take have similar side affects and I'm always playing around trying to find out which one is screwing things up. Wallbang Sometimes, some medications and certain foods don't get along and that's easy not to know. Icon_lol

Good luck in sorting things out.

I bought another old Apple IIe computer today to use as a parts source for some of the harder to come by parts. Even if the processor doesn't work it's still worth the $50 (free shipping) I shelled out for it for parts like the keyboard, top cover, knockout tabs and memory chips. FedEx is saying July 5th for delivery. I talked to my nephew about getting my van moved out here even if it can't be fixed right away. I don't like leaving it in town. He'll get a couple of friends to help him move it. Talked with the doc and he says it's definitely the drug side effects that are messing me up. Changing the time I take some of them was suggested. I'll try that and see what happens. No layout work today. The way I was feeling today I didn't even want to look at it. Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

RB:
I once heard "Drugs don't have side -effects; they only have effects."

My father used to read all the bumpf that came with his meds. He then had to set up a complicated schedule so that he could take the ones with meals, the ones before meals, the ones 3 hours after ... We asked the Dr. who said that it would be all right to take them all at the same time, but Dad didn't believe it.
He had a system set up (for when he became forgetful) where he lined all the bottles up and moved the bottle backwards when he took the pill. Woe to anyone who came in and rearranged them.

In model railroading, there are between six and two hundred ways of performing a given task.
Most modellers can get two of them to work.
Greetings, gang.

Hazy and 55 degrees this morning with an expected high in the low 80s.

Well, the Great Bath Remodel project is finally complete. I put the new light fixture up yesterday afternoon. I've never had so much problem with a light fixture before. The mounting bracket kept swiveling. I finally took a hammer to the center pivot to at least slow it down.

Today I need to clean up the yard and we'll be heading for the grocery store shortly to stock up for the in-laws visit. They'll be arriving later this evening. I don't know if I'll have much time to check in while they're here.

All stay safe.

Morning. Busy day yesterday. Started early and ended late. Off to new HS this AM and then meeting with County Animal Control Director. Hope all are OK. Time to fly west is getting near. Excitement is getting higher each day. Off to lake house later today. Still raining. Flash flood watch for most of NC.

Later.

Good morning all. Still overcast this morning with smoke from the Yarnell fire. It's windy out as well, which is not good for those up there fighting the fire. There's t'storms in the forecast, but not until Friday. Oh, we did find a few speckles of mud on our windshield yesterday, meaning we did get a few dribbles of moisture Sunday night.

We're coming up on a holiday here, I hope you all have a fun and restful day, and stay safe. A few years ago the legislature here passed what I thought was a really stupid bill. It is now legal to sell fireworks in Arizona. We have these out-of-state people setting up tents in the parking lots of stores selling all sorts of stuff, and even Walmart has firework displays in their stores. There are two problems here, firstly, most cities have banned shooting fireworks off in their limits, and secondly, going out to the tinder-dry desert and blowing off fireworks isn't the smartest thing to do. I have no idea what they were thinking when the passed this bill, but I suspect a strong fireworks lobby had something to do with it.....

For the most part I'm feeling OK today. A little drowsy, a little dizzy once in a while and some difficulty thinking straight. Yesterday I talked to my nephew about getting my van moved out of the Wal-Mart parking lot and relocate it to my driveway. I had to shove aside some thoughts about throwing him down the steps and body slamming him on the porch several times as I was having some problems with my temper yesterday. I try to keep that behavior suppressed but sometimes he can make it really hard. Have I ever mentioned that I have some tendencies toward violence? That was a big problem in my younger days and I still have a problem keeping my temper in check sometimes. I got that from my mother. She learned to control hers. I've never been able to do it as effectively as she did so I had to find other things to direct it to. Believe it or not one of those is model building. Another is working on computers and electronics. You'd be surprised how relaxing working on an old computer can be. I've seen others do it by working on cars. I did that myself for a while but it got to the point it was physically impossible. Now you can probably understand some of the fascination I have for these old Apple computers I'm working on. They're not overly difficult to work on, I don't have to put a lot of concentration into it and if I break it, who cares? I just scour Ebay for a replacement part. The same with the locos I build. Working on them is relaxing. Sometimes I take a couple apart and see if I can improve them. If I need parts, Ebay here I come. Well, I've bored y'all enough. Time to get on with my day.

Fireworks are illegal in Los Angeles but I can step out my door the night of the 4th of July and it looks like a professional fireworks show. Sylmar where I live is 30 miles from downtown but is still part of Los Angeles and that includes all their taxes. The days before July 4 like right now are bad for my dog in the evening as a lot of fireworks already. I let my dogs stay inside overnight when it gets too bad.
