9/11---a special day in so many ways---fortunately back in 2014 the company of good friends made this a day filled with happy memories.It was great to have Charlie visit our backyard and to spend the day rail-fanning.To be honest I was a bit concerned that Charlie might be a little disappointed as the frequency of local train action could not compare to his hometown but I think everything worked out just fine.Hopefully we'll have a chance to get together again.Here's some of my photos.

This photo, taken moments after Ed's of the CN diesels on the bridge, shows Illinois Central's 800653, SANDFORD FLEMING (II), a track inspection car re-built from a Wabash leg-rest coach. The blank-looking end right next to the locomotive is a roll-up-type door to protect the full-end picture window when the car is in-transit:

A pair of leased SW 1500's switch the Paulsboro Refinery, at Paulsboro, NJ on September 13, 2015. CIT1556 pulls while CBFX1579 shoves a string of tank cars into the refinery from the interchange with Conrail.
