For a brief period in 1977 Amtrak was led by the Conrail E8 4022. It was early morning with low light but I got this picture of train 41, the Broadway Limited, as it approached Pittsburgh Street in Columbiana, Ohio November 7, 1977.  The 4022 was EL 833 and was assigned to the Erie Lackawanna commuter train between Youngstown and Cleveland before the service was discontinued on Jan. 14, 1977.

Time was running short for the opportunity to photograph the circus train but we didn't know it when I took this picture at the bridge in Enon Valley November 11, 2013. 2016 was the end of the RBBB circus train and the circus as well.

Number 2 track was getting new CWR in November, 1978 so trains were single lining on Number one. This coal train is approaching Brookdale Ave. in East Palestine, Ohio. MP 58.8.
