February, 1979 Amtrak train 31, The National Limited was detoured Fort Wayne line. Normally it ran the Panhandle and the Columbus Line. Here it is about MP 43 just west of New Galilee, Pa.

East bound at Gould Tunnel February, 1979. Gould tunnel is on the line that now only runs from Mingo Junction to Columbus, a part of the PRR Panhandle route that was a pretty direct shot from Pittsburgh across the West Virginia Panhandle. It is now operated by the Ohio Central.

2/26/1978 at Highland (Summit) Cut, MP 37 Fort Wayne line. The second unit is showing a little smoke from a rear traction motor. Probably just some oil on a hot motor after fighting the grade.
