Amtrak leased Conrail E8, number 4022. I was lucky to catch #40 running late enough it was in the morning light on September 14, 1977. Here it is cresting the grade at Summit Cut, MP 37.

The E8 look god in CR blue! Hmmmm, I was attending my second week as a colege freshman that day!
NS and CSX freights wait for clearance to cross the Delair Bridge into PA while a NJ Transit light rail vehicle heads towards Camden, 9/15/09.
