I think this was the first time I ever cursed while railfanning.Charlie had found the perfect location to catch the Nickel Plate Berkshire---an isolated siding far from the crowds of "foamers''---a long stretch of straight double track with a sweeping curve to the left.As we anxiously waited we could hear the locomotive in the distance,saw her smoke and listened to her whistle at a crossing just around the bend---of all the earlier shots we had taken,I figured this was going to be the best yet.As the nose of the Berk came into view and I raised my camera for the first shot a local freight led by a pair of Norfolk Southern's black diesels interrupted this idyllic scene and quickly overtook the steamer on the inside track.Charlie says we were "snookered"---at that particular moment I felt we had been royally screwed Wallbang Wallbang Wallbang
