C&O used those 2-6-6-2s out of Peach Creek yard(near Logan,WVA.) on mine runs and coal drags to Russell since these engines was well suit for such work. Peach Creek was also the bailiwick for C&O's massive 0-10-0s.

Just don't expect to see a large engine..Those 2-6-6-2s were small malleys.They weigh in at 217 tons

I just now saw this post. I received a notice from C&O historical society about a month ago. After a little searching I found more information. It will have C&O markings for I think 2 years then be repainted to WM markings. Yes it is a small locomotive. I don't remember dates but it is to be loaded onto I think 2 flat cars and be transported by a special CSX train.

It all depends on context Larry, especially when this is the biggest locomotve I've actually seen. Big Grin
