Calling all modern-era GERN modellers....
#1
A number of GERN modellers have been clamouring for more modern-type GERN signs and advertising. My brother Steven, the creator of GERN over 50 years ago, has asked for photos of your GERN facilities, especially those which include modern locomotives and/or rolling stock. These should be good quality photos and he'll also need your permission to alter them as required. There's no guarantee that he'll use any or all of them, but those used will be distributed to all GERN modellers for their personal use via the usual e-mail attachment method.
Any interested GERN modellers should e-mail their photos to me as attachments, and I'll forward them on. No need to re-size them, and I think that a limit of three per person should keep this manageable. Please re-name your photos using your user name here - for example: doctorwayne 001, etc. That way I'll know whom to contact should another photo be required, and it will also serve as a credit when the finished work is distributed.

Just a note for those of us doing modern billboards, I have the most current sizes you would want to reduce the pics down to in HO scale feet Wink Thumbsup

Wayne,
I love this! Can I get on the list still? I was just thinking about this new GERN Industries and what it would look like today. I think DOW or an of those guys got nothin' on GERN!

Question to all GERN modelers, where are you getting the decals made? Has anyone thought about a group purchase of decals to get high end decals made?

Dave, you've been on the list pretty-much from the start, and anyone who has joined since then gets all of the past GERN-related stuff when they first come on board.
Currently, there are 50 of us from North America, Europe, and Australia. I believe that there was also an Asian member, but I think that he's since moved. If I've missed someone from a continent not mentioned (not everybody wants to reveal their location), please let me know....kinda important if we want to dominate the world of flux, eh? Misngth

I think some of my rolling stock could last into the 1960s. Wait a minute now or should I say wait a minute and 1.8 seconds Smile (think about it). If I model late steam and some early diesel and my rolling stock lasts 3%longer because of the cargo how long would a 40ft boxcar last?
