While making a purchase at Drew Patrick Beverages, the staff allowed me to grab this shot of Shore River getting ready to switch a car into their facility.

Here is an old pic. The paint job was a jab at some Conrail friends back when CSX & NS ( C&O & NW) bought Conrail ( PRR & NYC ).

In a recent press release, the EG&E announced that a crew has been hired for the 4807:

Apparently, the engineer is a German immigrant from the town of Preiser, while the fireman hails from Revell, a town on the outskirts of Revel(l)stoke, B.C.
(Rumours are that the fireman is a former 'bo who used to hang around sandhouses, but has supposedly "got religion".)

Sources speculate that crews for the Erie Northshore's four Mikados will soon follow, as those locomotives have long been remotely controlled.

Excellent pics everyone!

I decided it was high time to get after all of the cobwebs that have found a home on my layout. I took a lot of the little details (pallets, barrels, ladders, etc.) out of the way to allow a good (and careful) vacuuming and air dusting. It is not usual for me to get a camera in the very front of Castillo Cold Storage, but I took the opportunity after the clean up:

With the conveyors and other "stuff" out of the way, I got a close up of a couple of the coal bins at Gallimore Coal:

I wish I had a dust-proof environment....dust and cobwebs are everywhere Wallbang , not to mention a few dead "giant" spiders Misngth

A CR GP40-2 in true blue colors. That engine got my very first Econami sound decoder arriving today. Hardware installation and programming is very similar to Tsunami.
