Whatever happened with Gary S of Texas?

Just curious whatever became of Gary S in Texas? He was building a beautiful layout and had been doing a great tutorial of his backdrop painting techniques? Looks like his last post & visit here was in 2015.

I had contact with Gary after the recent Texas flood. He, his family and his home is ok. The layout building suffered to some degree below the layout. He is repairing it and extended it already for a staging yard. He plans to be back here.

Thanks for that update Reinhard, I too have been wondering how he got through the hurricane. I miss his posts too.

Yeah, I was remiss in not mentioning him, too. I contacted him to inquire about his well-being after the hurricane, and learned that he and his family were fine, as was their home, but the layout building did suffer some flooding. He was in the process of removing some of the lower portions of the drywall, but otherwise, no damage to the layout.

It'd be nice to see him back here.
