Things I miss or can't find
#1
So far the only thing I can't find (possibly because it doesn't exist) is the "Mark all Forums read" button on the front page.

Are there plans to make the new forum colors look more like the old one?  Not a fan of the color scheme but I can live with it.

I'll check into the "Mark all forums..." button. There is a way to add this to the front page. As for the new color, nope. It is what it is. Only thing planned is to fix some color-on-color issues where some text is hard to read. It was time to freshen up the over 10 year old color scheme. There is a light option if you wish. all you have to do is scroll down the the very bottom of the page and on the lower right side there is a drop-down menu that you can use to change the color theme.

Thanks for the quick reply. I really appreciate all the hard work you have been through for the last few days as well as your ongoing efforts to keep the place running smoothly.

Good morning, I'm glad you found the right URL. There are any number of things that we need to tune up, one is to put in some redirects so that everyone can use the URL that they've been using. There are a bunch of settings that we need to change as well, such as attachments showing up as full photos rather than thumbnails and adding our old smilies back, but we wanted to get back to open as soon as possible, and it's taken a lot of work just to get to this point.

Yeah, I just ran into this myself a few minutes ago. It's that issue where "I need to fix a few color issue" issues. There's actually more to that message but the text is white on yellow. Hard to read. I'll get that fixed. In the meantime, if you get this message again and can't read it, you can try highlighting the message and the white text will show up.

This feature is present, it's just in a lame place. They moved it to the very bottom of the page. Scroll down and you'll find a white bar along the bottom. You'll find the link there. Why they placed it here and not at the top of the page with all the other useful things is beyond me. I'll look into getting this moved to the top because it's a useful item, but it might take some time to fix.

A number of forums that I am on have the “Mark all read” button on the bottom...but usually the colours are higher contrast colours so it’s much more obvious than here.

Found it. Thanks. Personally I prefer it on the bottom of the page but I will go with whatever is decided.

Very minor point - I noticed the time is off by several hours.  Is that a setting on your end or mine?  Never mind.  I found it.

How can I have the threads displayed "last post first" And can we come up with something better than "posting freaks"?

Give us a bit of time, the titles are what came with the software, but we'll get them changed to what we had before, we opened the new forum a bit before we got it tailored to fit what we had..... I'll get back to you on the "last post first", I know it's in the settings. The same goes for our smilies, we haven't imported them yet as well....

We now have the same title system as in the old forum settings. As for "last post first", I can only find that, like in the old PhP forum, if you click on the thread name, the first post shows on top, but if you click on the little arrow, again, like the old PhP forum, the first unread post will show up first. Beyond that, I'll keep looking.
