"True blue" (with patches) is a perfect match with the older structures and we are still in the current century.
Pure CR is a tad to old for my taste but the patches are a great invention for contemporary modelers with a true blue soft spot.
I had one Proto CR GP38-2 with NS patches and two with CSX patches. I prefer the black and white patches with CR blue and redid the lettering from CSX to NS. A fourth Proto CR GP38-2 was unpatched without electric in the basement. That one got patches, Tsunami 2 and ditch lights.
It was great busy day.
