Maryland's Eastern shore is an area rich in Chesapeake Bay watercraft, and an area that could be expected to have had a large narrow gauge presence. I was particularly attracted to his "marine railway", used to pull larger craft up on land for hull maintenance. That's something that isn't too often modeled.
There is a maritime museum in St. Michaels, Md. where some of that watercraft is on display. I've often been tempted to model that museum property.
We always learn far more from our own mistakes, than we will ever learn from another's advice.
The greatest place to live life, is on the sharp leading edge of a learning curve.
Lead me not into temptation.....I can find it myself!
