Sometimes I wonder about why businesses like this just close rather than sell. Like Standard Hobbies just shut down a few years ago and they had a viable business, good prices and were good people to deal with. Then one day, they just stopped taking orders. It would seem to me that there would be more in it for them to sell, or turn the business over to someone else to run, than to just shut down. We'll probably never know why, but it's a real shame to see yet another supplier go away, even if they only dealt in HO scale stuff.
Like Catt, it is tempting to buy some of those vehicles, even if we don't have an HO layout.
