Depressing, but vital to the American economy. America is full of sites like this one, only now the sites are filled with thousands of tractor-trailer rigs serving the same function as those boxcars.
From a modeling standpoint, that is a terrific photo!
Yet,NS and CSX handles over 16,000 boxcars a week.. I also notice several Intermodals that's around 12,000'-just over 2 miles long..
