Russ, I don't know how long it lasted after the photos were taken, but that was 30 years ago and the building has been gone for a long time now. I'm glad I got the pictures when I did. I hope to model it both as it was in the early 50's and then in the late 70's. It is amazing how fast they go when no maintenance is done.
Here are some pictures of a clay mine in Cannelton, Pa. It did have rail service form the PL&W at one time but the tracks were gone in 1976 when I took these with an instamatic.
