I created my own leasing company by simply modifying a existing companies logo and changing the color to give it a prototypical look but making it my own.
I'm trying to keep the roster powered by 645's. The GP38-3's are built from GP35/38/40/50 donors.
Built as a GP38.
Built as a GP40. Retained the three radiator fans.
Built as a GP40. Center radiator fan removed and hole plated over.

Cool idea - especially for modeling recent or current railroading! I would love having the ability to modify just about any railroad's locos. Can't wait to see a BNSF as a QMLX!

Sweet job! Would never know it is a fictional company.

Just one patch out of six units so far. I'll show case the GP40-2's tomorrow.

What was the original railroad of 3009? I really like the way you patched that one.

Why do you have heavy oil leaking out of the radiators and dynamic brakes?
If you remove the radiator fan then you can also remove the turbo exhaust and replace it with small smokestacks to represent a 3000 hp GP40 that has been downgraded to a 2000 hp GP38 by replacing the turbo with a blower, which uses the two (or four) exhaust stacks.

Just dirt and grime.

Correct, that has been done on the 2000 series units above.

My mistake, I didn't see that, the second exhaust stack was hidden behind the horns. Nice, adds a new wrinkle on a locomotive fleet.
