Bob C Wrote:Mikey....Those are SUPERB ! Thanks for being "on the SPOT !"...and sharing. I'm not sure this'll work (or that it's appropriate), as I received the link to some also beautiful shots by Mr. Dave Davies (for which I thank Dave D. and my email friend) displayed on "trainorders"...they don't yet show on his "railpictures" gallery. Please Mod out the link if it's doubtful or objectionable for any reason. Bob C. The link is: http://members.trainorders.com/ddavies/News/news.htm
I didn't know the SRR was doing freight business. I haven't followed this entire thread, so this may have already been explained, but what was the reason for 8102 and NS Business Train F's stopping by?

They were (are) at the Railroad Museum of PA (Across the street from the Strasburg RR).. for NS days. The Railroad Museum's tribute to various PA railroads. They also have Pennsy (PRR) Days and Reading Days...
Each "tribute" weekend they have special attractions. The Strasburg RR connects the old PRR Broadway Line (Phila to Harrisburg - Amtrak now) to the Museum, therefore anything that comes to the Museum must be tracked via the Strasburg

Its hard to believe that these wonderful units are from the same Railroad that got into a fight with its engine crews over not wanting to put toilets in the cabs of all units.
It must have been a bean counter inspired decision, but how stupid were the rest of management to have gone along with it.
Put the author of the original decision in a cab ride for a full shift to see how he likes it.
Then again constipation might explain some of the decision making process.

Thanks Guys. It sure waspure luck to have three heritage units come through in two days let alone see two on the same train.
Yes Mark all I have to do is look out my window
Ralph, I can't wait to see it also. I wonder what PC logo they will use since PC did have two different ones. Oh also I still keep seeing those PC cars every couple of days.

DAMN
   I think that I have started turning green overnight.
How did you manage to score such a useful train watching window?
Mind you that wishing well has certainly paid off big time for you, with just enough room to frame a shot of a modern locomotive.

It was actually 3 logos. The all white logo, the "red P" logo, and the "orange C" logo.
I'm guessing they will do the white logo, but we should know shortly.
