Lynn,
Fantastic scene!!! Those mountains, and everything else, looks real!!
I only know what I know, and I don't understand very much of it, either.

I love your Wicked Wanda Lynn, it looks a treat man, well weathered and the colour is spot on. I too have it, although it is sitting on the bench waiting for its time at the moment. I really am no good at colours so may have to steal your colouring and aged/weathered wood concept when her time comes to be built.
As you say it looks like a fun build.

Those mountains you agonised over for so long have gone huh? Eek
But I had a look at the link you posted for the tutorial on your new method, and was very impressed. Obviously you were as well, and you have done a great job on the repaint.
A couple of questions if I may..
How hard was it doing the backdrop again, in-situ, with all the scenery now in place in front of the backdrop, and between you and the work.
And did you actually attend the clinic, and meet Chris? He seems a very fine modeler.

I thought your mountain backdrop was great, but you have added a new dimension now and I think it has diversified the background a bit, and given you more scope to blend the foreground into it, (IMHO )....... and improved the look. Thumbsup

Hi Jack thanks for the compliments. No I didn't go to the clinic but it clarified a lot when I met Chris on holidays and he showed me a couple things, it was then we realized what was going on when I tried to paint, the brush was too soft and lost its courseness which would not alow the individual trees to pop up. As for redoing the backdrop with scenery and buildings already up well it was just as much a pain as the first time around Icon_lol

Lynn....Terrific job...!! That background is really EXTREMELY well done. It just doesn't hide a blank wall - it wraps the whole scene together. Congrats..!! Thumbsup

Thanks Gus, unfortunately the backdrop research slowed my modeling down to a crawl but now I'm ok. Icon_lol

Just want to bring the layout build upto speed, it was taken down last January and I started a expanded version that is incorporating a lot of the things I liked about the old layout but is higher off the floor and has another room added on.
