Heckman's Canadian Pacific A Photographic Journey
Ralph Beaumont
A collection of photographs by a CPR photographer from the early 20th century.
Rod Clarke did the technical work on this book, scanning and cleaning up the original photos. He told me that the book in CP's archives didn't have any separators between the pages and the photos were in some sort of egg solution (?) and the image drifted between photos that were facing each other. He spent a looong time cleaning up the images. He spent so long on it that the author couldn't pay him so sold him a share in the book instead. There was a problem with the printing and something like 500-600 of the first printing of 1500 had to be rejected and reprinted.

In model railroading, there are between six and two hundred ways of performing a given task.
Most modellers can get two of them to work.
