At the Red Sea where I will do scuba diving is no river at all. They have to get sweet water from the very salty Red Sea water. The Red Sea is a part of / connected to the Indian Ocean. The "parasites" capable to penetrate the skin are called sharks Smile

Anytime you scuba in salt water, you potentially become part of the food chain.

There's a thread at West Coast Rail Forums http://www.westcoastrailforums.com/thre ... age-2.html covering the Fontana team track area discussed in some of the posts above. Good info on the history -- they're calling it the Declezville Industrial Lead.

Thanks for pointing to that thread. I saw and read it but did not know it is "that/my" team track.

Here's the final images for my LAJ clinic at the NMRA PSR LAJ convention (http://www.psrnmra.org/) tomorrow in Oxnard CA: http://tinyurl.com/cexgwgv
To see two side by side team tracks check the #12 FRUITLAND TEAM slide & the 25th slide (my track plan) showing both the LAJ & ATSF team tracks which are still there even today. To see aerials of these use 2695 Fruitland Av 90058 on Bing, Google or historicaerials.com.
Also at the convention there will be a raffle for a UP Trix Big Boy, 20 boxcars & a caboose for $10.00 per ticket or 3 tickets for $25.00. These are all worth over $1000.00. Also to be raffled are an Athearn ATSF FP45, F7 yellowbonnet & Coach Yard painted but unlettered UP 3-3-3 chair car.

The current setup of the MET GE 70t switchers. Four of them are at an acceptable noise level. The middle one of the triple is a dummy only. Five more are on order. The flight will depart from NYC within the next hours and they shall arrive at my doorstep tomorrow. I hope only one drive will be so bad it becomes a dummy too. That would result in two doubles and two triples utilizing all four tracks of my staging yard.
The decals arrived while we have been on vacation.
Time and weather is the critical resource. I can not spray on the balcony when it rains and I have to return to work next Monday. May be it will take some time to get the full MET roster on the layout this winter.

Sure did! I've also made progress on lettering a Bachmann 70 ton with the Ventura County decals off the Microscale set parts you sent! Thanks!

That has to be one of the most superbly illegible signs that I have ever seen - makes me wonder what it says? (said!)

OK, here's a blown up version: The photo was taken at the current engine area (no covered enginehouse, I believe) on the grounds of the former sugar refinery at Betteravia, CA. The sign says "Main Office -- Main Gate Receiving -- Sugar Loading Area". Much of this is simply gone.

The friday evening job leaves the yard to serve the west side customers.

(I have still the 198X decoration (rail and street cars) from my SP SW1500 and SP GP9 scenario. M&ET fits fine because my youngest engine the 608 was bought 1983 by M&ET.)
